You are bidding on a beautiful, vintage five-piece "King" German Stoneware Wine Pitcher/Cups Set . This set consists of one 6 ½" high, 4" diameter wine pitcher and four 4" high, 2 1/4" diameter wine cups in pristine condition. Each piece is made of quality olive green/black German stoneware with a gold colored imperial medallion. They are marked "Original King" or "King" and "Western Germany." In addition, the wine pitcher has "2005" and "9" impressed into the base. The cups have "2008" and "20" impressed into the base. These pieces were most likely produced by King-Werk (Wuefel & Mueller) of Germany. The pitcher has a gold colored medallion on the front and back; one is of Franz Joseph I (August 18, 1830 - November 21, 1916) of the Habsburg Dynasty was Emperor of Austria, Apostolic King of Hungary and King of Bohemia from 1848 until 1916 and the other Maria Tsia ( May 13, 1717-November 29, 1780) was reigning Archduchess of Austria and Queen of Hungary and Bohemia and, through her marriage, Holy Roman Empress. Two cups bear the Imperial Austrian Seal of Archduke Joseph II, one of Franz Joseph and the other Maria Tsia. Each imperial medallion bears inscriptions.
