This is a genuine early printing of the fabulous King James Bible, dated 1627. Published by Bonham Norton and John Bill, it appeared after the earlier but better known edition by Robert Barker (the famous Breeches Bible). This edition changes Gen 3.7 reads "... and they sewed figge leaves together and made themselves aprons" as opposed to Barker's 'breeches'. This edition is now scarce please see on ABE Books However this book is badly damaged and I urge you to look at the images before bidding.PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU ARE FULLY AWARE OF THE DAMAGE BEFORE BIDDING AS I WILL NOT ACCEPT A RETURN BECAUSE THIS BOOK IS DAMAGEDBINDINGThe original leather binding is badly worn and probably cannot be salvagedOLD TESTAMENTThis section is the best. The title page has been repaired long ago and relaid onto a new sheet. There is some marginal worming. The dedication to King James is present with some 19th C ink script, plus the almanac. The Old Testament text is complete, and could be removed and rebound into a new book.APOCRYPHAFrom the mid point on this book now gets the damage.
