15" x 21" (sight only) by Henderson-Achert Co. Lith, Cincinnati, O. Side of the boat marked Kings Great Western Powder Co. Cincinnati, O. Sporting, Mining and Blasting. Sepia tones rendered upon coated, cream-colored mid-weight stock. Stern of boat marked Quick Shot Popular Sport. In a gilded wood frame, 25.5" x 33.5" overall. Historically significant item, being the earliest known advertisement for the King's Powder Company which eventually evolved into the Peters Cartridge Company (see Delph, 1991: 36). Print has been expertly conserved by Laura Schell, MA, MAC of Lockport, NY. Conservator's report included. Condition: Nominal crease in top center and additional nominal creases in bottom central regions.
