-Artist/Group: Klaatu -Mini bio: Rock trio from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Dee Long; vocals & guitar, Terry Draper; keyboards, and John Woloschuck; drums. Anonymous first album release led to speculation that they were The Beatles. Klaatu is taken from alien character in the classic 1951 sci-fi movie The Day The Earth Stood Still. Klaatu's first label was Canadian GRT on which they released two singles; Hanus Of Uranus / Sub-Rosa Subway and also Doctor Marvello / For You Girl , both from 1973. In 1974 the group signed to Frank Davies Daffodil Records w they released two singles in partnership with Canadian A&M which were California Jam / Doctor Marvello and True Life Hero / Hanus Of Uranus . Then in 1976 Frank Davies' Daffodil Records partnered with Canadian Capitol and released their their only Billboard Top 100 release which was Sub-Rosa Subway / Calling Occupants on Capitol 4412. Klaatu released several more singles between 1977 and 1982 including We're Off You Know , Dear Christine , Juicy Lucy, A Routine Day , Knee Deep In Love , I Can't Help It , and The Love Of A Woman among others. The group disbanded in August, 1982 although t would be several reunion gigs which lasted through to May 2005. -The three singles which we are aware of that were issued with Canadian printed picture sleeves are We're Off You Know / Around The
