Custom made by Larson Forge & Finish. The blade is hand forged to silhouette from 5160 spring steel, worked to about 90%, hardened, oil quenched and tempered to 475f. The blade is than hand finished and polished. It is 9 15/16 inches long overall and 5 1/4 inch from tip to handle and .204 in. thick at the handle. It is convex ground with a zero edge. It has our makers mark etched into the blade. This knife was hand made by my son working in his forge shop in Meadowlands Minnesota and is one of a kind. is classic Bowie-fighter, with a clip point. It's sharp top and bottom but not too sharp on top. It's got a slender handle with finger gooves sculpted in, and, it balances on your fingertip. This wood was bought as figured Eucalyptus and darned if it dosen't have a little curl to it. A suprisingly attractive wood Both the blade and the scales are polished to perfection and the blade is sharp as can be. The handle mounting hardware is inlet into the wood.The final finish on these knives is done on a sisal wheel and formax black buffing compound. This leaves a little something for wax or oil to hang on to. It is not a mirror finish although it may look like it in the pics.
