This age old classic is still widely recognized and used even preceding the famous Jim Bowie blade.Coffin style handle.Over all open length is 13 3/4". False upper edge with file work on the spine.The blade is (cutting edge) 8".Heat treated and hardened and thick 9cr14 stainless steel satin polished blade. It has 4 - 3/16 pin holes and a 1/4" lanyard hole, optional pull together screws system made for this knife are also available in the E Bay store.Handle material size needed is 5" x 1.5".Blade sharp and satin polished.This new "S" series bowie sports a wide blade and makes a statement. In woods use a stabilized burl like California Buck eye, Amboyna, and Rosewood Burl. The other things you can do to and to add value and resell ability is your name on the blade, you have a jeweler or laser engraver do that for you, mosaic pins if available, file work on the blade, spacers and an attractive sheath. Lastly every knife maker see his flaws more than anyone else, sometimes the hardest sell is the maker. Find your niche and go with that. I don't like velvet Elvis paintings but they sell.
