This is a old sharpening stone from early 1900's. The stone comes from Cleveland Stone Co. and the casting that holds the stone is also marked CS Co. The fine grained stone is 8 inches in diameter and 1 1/4 thick. It also is made to hold water in the bottom to keep the stone lubed. The only problem with the whole thing is I do not have the handle for the square shaft. I was alway going to make one but just never got t Now that I am retiring the wife said either I downsize the tools or she is going to downsize me and after 40 years of eating her cooking I will empty the garage one way or the other as I like her cooking. So please help this old man that hates to throw things away by buying this little jewel. Thank you and if you have any questions please ask as I want the buyer to be happy.
