Here is a great piece of American history. I do not know the exact age. It comes from a collection of items, some of which were authentic Civil War items. I, personally, believe this piece to be older than that. It is 15.5" OAL. It is very sharp and in excellent condition for a piece as old. I do not call this a "bowie" type of knife since it is not as thick as some bowies. I would call it a utility knife or one for daily use but it is too long and there are no grizzlies in Virginia. Please ask questions before you bid. All sales are final.
