This is Komandirskie Wrist Watch. The watch is in excellent condition with some minor age related wear and patina. The watch works and keeps good time. The watch was 48 hour tested with rotation through different positions prior to listing. The date calendar works as expected. These watches were originally intended for the Soviet military and sold through military stores. In 1965, Vostok (the manufacturer) became official supplier to the Soviet Military. Komandirskie means "Commander" in Russian. This example is marked "Made in Russia" which implies it was made shortly after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Please see item description and pictures. We try very hard to capture the details of our items with our pictures and make any issues apparent. The "Vostok" (Восток) Watch Company was appointed as official supplier to the Soviet Military in 1965; It was named after the Vostok space programme. They manufactured a range of movements for the military and supply and sale was controlled by selling the watches in "military stores" to Military personnel with identification. Vostok produced watches under its own name (and continues to do so) but also produced some watches under the Pobeda brand and the military brands like "Kommandirskie" and "Amphibia." Vostok means "East" in Russian.
