This is an early five barrel hinge, brass case pat 2032695 made some time in 1949 to 1951. First of the five barrel hinge and "canned" bottom brass case, just prior to the steel case use in 1951 to 1954. Sent to Zippo for factory repair, Zippo doesn't repair inserts, they just replace them with insert in current inventory, looks like it was done early 90's, does not have correct/original insert, unfired since return. See pics, used condition with good amount of wear on chrome finish, but is a tight hinge, good solid old brass, five barrel, block zippo logo, pat. 2032695, 1949 to 1951 Zippo.
