is a very nice group of 39 older Krewe of Crescent City doubloons. Scans showing both sides of the doubloons are included. The obverse has the familiar Crescent City crest. Crescent City (as the name implies) chose to honor famous New Orleanians, both native and adopted, and also featured historic New Orleans landmarks on the reverse of their doubloons. They would make a great start to a Crescent City collection or possibly fill some holes in existing collections. Also a very nice piece of New Orleans and Mardi Gras memorabilia. Please refer to your guides for the values of these doubloons. The aluminum doubloons issued during the early 60's are usually more valuable since they were produced in smaller numbers. Other "special" issues may also be more valuable, likewise being produced in limited quantities. If you do not have a guide and would like specific values for some, or all, of these doubloons (or any that I am listing), please email me and I will gladly provide you with the information. These doubloons are all duplicates from various collections I acquired over the years. The doubloons are in 2x2's and a plastic sheet. Total Guide value of this group is $17.81. I will be listing various size collections, some smaller groups and single doubloons from virtually every krewe that ever paraded in the New Orleans area.
