This 9 3/8 inch custom knife has a lignum vitae handle secured with two Loveless bolts. The 1095 edge-hardened blade is 4 3/4 inches from tip to handle, 0.174 thick, and flat ground. The lanyard hole is brass-lined. The tang tapers to 0.075. T is filework on the spine. This knife is serial # A16. This Daniel Krohn custom knife is accompanied by a custom-fitted horsehide sheath and certificate of authenticity. This knife is meant to be used. The flat ground blade cuts through material and sharpens easily. The blade is edge hardened, which means that the edge of the blade is hard in order to hold an edge while the spine is soft and springy for overall strength. This knife comes with a lanyard hole in case the user has to work over water or somew w dropping the knife will mean it's loss or possible injury to someone below. The sheath is designed for easy access at the knife. Instead of using straps to hold the knife in like most sheaths, this sheath relies on friction and the form fitted sheath to hold the knife in securely. Eliminating straps means that you don't have to be constantly worrying about cutting the strap when you put the knife back, and in cold weather the knife is easy to put away with gloves on.
