KY-127/GG Keyer & Practice Tape Set US ArmySignal Corps Vintage Available for sale is a US Army Signal Corps KY-127/GG Keyer and (15) roll practice tape set with manual (copy). If you attended the US Army Signal Corps school at Ft. Monmouth, NJ or one of several other schools, from WWII through the mid 1960’s, you would have learned Morse code with a KY-127/GG (or TA-34-A) keyer. This is a working set in very good condition with the (15) tape # 4A1885-1.5 practice tape set in it’s original issue wood case. The keyers are easier to find than the tapes, the tape set are relatively rare. The keyer uses a photocell and lamp to read a printed ink line on the paper tape and generate the code characters. The signal is then monitored with headphones or the built in speaker. Due age, sold as-is, where-is
