This was the last Kyosho Lazer ZX buggy imported into the US. This was the last of an incredibly successful line of competition off-road racers that date back to the original Optima. The Lazer ZX-R represented the culmination of years of high-level off-road racing, and it featured the latest technology of any 4WD buggy. The ZX-R features a smooth belt-drive, full ball bearings (when bearing sets used to cost around $120 per car), Kyosho Option House Gold Shocks, a saddle pack chassis, large one-piece wheels, front and rear ball diffs, slipper clutch and much more. This classic racer is an example of the best technology of the late 80s in electric off-road racing.This kit is still in good condition. The box is mostly unblemished except for some minor dings on the corners and very minor shelf rot. The colors are still sharp and full, and t's no significant creases. I'd rate it about a 9 to 9+.
