LOT # 225 Detailed Photos Estate Road Show L225 TONKA 1963 RAMP HOIST FLATBED WRECKER TOW TRUCK #640 20inch DECALS TIRES NR Item Description We are delighted to feature this vintage Tonka #640 Red Ramp Hoist Flatbed Wrecker Tow Truck from 1963. Clean condition with minor wear to paint, the decals and Tonka logo are clean and it displays extremely well. Tonka whitewall tires and front windshield with silver grill. Measures 20 inches long and 5 inches high. Offered at no reserve. HISTORY: Mound Metalcraft Co was established in Mound, Minn in 1946. Its steel vehicle toys, introduced in 1947, bore the Tonka Toys name. In 1955, the company changed its name to Tonka Toys. Known for its larger toy trucks, the firm introduced the Mini-Tonkas in 1963.
