This is a pair of handmade ladies black lace mitts from the 1850's de accessioned from a museum. These mitts were de rigueur during the mid 1800's, this pair is in excellent condition, they would fit a medium hand (I am a size 7 ½ and I was able to get them on if a bit tight) so I would guess they are a 6-6 ½. These are lovely accessories from an age of elegance and style! I rarely see mitts in this condition.
