This Laguiole Rossignol folder has a 4" blade with a 3.6" cutting surface made of 440 steel and measures 4.75" closed. The handle is a light, natural wood but I'm not sure what type (maybe olive). The knife has never been used (it still has the stickers on both side of the blade), but it has been displayed and was in storage for about two years. The brass bolsters, because it was stored in the plastic case that they come with, were dull. I have polished them to get the shine for the photos, but it could use some more detailed polish and t may nevertheless remain some marks that will not polish out (mostly in the crevises). I did not polish the spine, because I didn't want to deal with the wood adjacent to the spine. I also note some black (mold?) on the edges of the wood that abuts the bolsters. I finally note a few light scratches on the blade from opening/closing. With all of this said, if I didn't scare you away yet, this remains a very nice knife (check out the patented bee and fancy file work on the spine). It displays fine, and is perfect for carry and use. I combine shipping with multiple purchases using Priority Mail shipping. Have fun shopping and check out if you have the chance.
