Listed is a premier, once-used (as a demonstration at the wine boutique before we bought it) champagne saber, from the foremost name in champagne blades, the legendary French manufacturer, Laguiole!! The Champagne saber is a tradition going back to Napoleon's army where young officers used to open Champagne bottles with the back of their swords to impress the ladies! The blade itself is made of stainless steel, with a gorgeous carved wooden handle as shown above in detail! It, of course, is accompanied in its original wooden presentation box, in mint condition as pictured! I paid $209 plus tax for the blade alone, and never found a reason to use it other than as a prestige display item, but please Google this blade as its suggested retail is as high as $250 online. As an added bonus, included are two FREE Perrier-Jouet champagne flutes, which are originally available only as part of a gift set with their premier cuvee, Fleur de Champagne. If you'd rather, I can include two plastic Moet et Chandon champagne flutes instead, just request this at checkout if you prefer these.
