Colton's Lake Superior And the Northern Part of Michigan Issued New York, 1855 by J. H. Colton. Beautiful mid 19th century folio engraved Colton map, with original hand color. Nicely detailed.In good+ mostly clean condition. Some light marginal toning/ dampstaining & soiling, and several minor short edge splits in blank margins (outside the printed area), one longer tear at top left shich extends into the engraved border and has been repaired on verso long ago with paper. Otherwise remaining clean and quite well-preserved overall. Will look wonderful once properly matted and framed. Sheet measures c. 17 1/2" W x 14 1/2" H.
