Offered is a very rare and beautifully designed Rock View Port Hotel demitasse cup and saucer set of which was made by Scammell- Lamberton in a gorgeous pine cone design on the rims. I have measurements if needed. The hotel, I believe was located in Jervis Port, New York (correct me if I am wrong) situated along the Delaware River. Not much is known today about the hotel and really, nothing much seems to surface. Too bad, as the pattern is outstanding with a beautiful pine cone design similar, if in fact, not the same design as made for for the Lynx Tavern in Massachusetts Really, as I am in contact with various hotel-railroad china collectors, no one seems to have examples in their collection. This is a beautiful demitasse set with matching saucer and is made by Scammell's Lamberton in the twenties era. T are no chips or cracks and the piece looks wonderful. T is a spot of brown pine cone on the lip of the cup and one other area that appears to both being a speck of decal that got away (factory glitch) and is non distracting and does not detract from the overall beauty of this set. This is the only demitasse set I have ever seen for this hotel and it will , I believe, look great in your hotel-railroad-steamship demitasse set collection as well as being a great piece of New York history.
