This is a fine looking Edwardian period bronze medallion. The medallion was struck to commemorate the opening of the Lancaster Town Hall in the year 1909. The medallion(44.50mm diameter) has a raised images on both sides. The Lancaster Coat of Arms is on the front.This is surrounded by the caption 'GIVEN BY LORD ASHTON ROBERT WILSON' .The Town Hall is depicted on the reverse.This is surrounded by the caption 'TO COMMEMORATE THE OPENING OF THE TOWN HALL LANCASTER, 27th DEC.1909'. The medallion is in good collectable condition.All details are clear and present.The medal grade is a Good Very Fine (GVF). Very impressive medallion.
