Land Speed Record. Wakefield Castrol. Bluebird. Campbell . Retro Classic Poster. A superb colour poster which is an official Castrol reproduction of the original which was issued by Wakefield Castrol in 1931 to celebrate Captain Malcolm Campbell setting a new Land Speed Record of 245 MPH driving the Napier engined “Bluebird” at Daytona Beach, Florida, USA on 5 th February 1931. Poster measures approximately 22 ¼” (567mm) high x 16 ½” (420mm) wide. Rights for this vintage poster still belong to Castrol. I bought a number of copies direct from them years ago. This one is in new condition having been carefully stored since delivery. A good original poster would now fetch in the order of £1000. The colours of the poster are better than my photograph. This classic poster will look stunning when framed and hanging in your home, office or workshop. Poster will be posted rolled inside a protective cardboard tube.
