Case is made of a heavy metal while the outside ring is a polished brass. Not sure which clock came out of this but must have been a good one because this is of the highest quality. Came out of a huge nautical collection which contained hundreds of ships clocks and parts. This one is the largest I am selling measuring 10 3/8" in diameter at its front; where the movements would sit measures 8 3/8" in diameter. Very heavy case weighing over 10 lbs.
