Listed is a large tintype of a very cute child with her doll. The size of the case is what I think is called a 1/4th plate. I do not know what type of doll it is. The doll looks to be dressed in a long white dress. I would say the tintype is from about 1880 or so. That would make the tintype now about 125 years old. I am no expert but the photo looks pretty clear to me. The pad inside the case and the case itself is pretty nice also. The two little metal hooks work fine. The case closes fine and the cloth hinge is intact. I have seen several tintypes of children with their dolls but this is larger than others I have came across. The gold colored matte measures 3 X 4 inches. Check my photos with starting bid of $9.95. Shipping is $6.50 by quick priority mail with delivery confirmation.
