I purchased this large and colorful oil painting at a recent local estate sale. The family of the former owner told me she'd purchased this painting in Cincinnati about 30+ years ago. The artist is Charles Stuart Todd of Rookwood Potteries and the painting is signed in the lower right hand corner. With frame the total measurements are 34 1/2" x 30" x 2" and the canvas itself is 26 3/4 x 22". The frame most certainly appears to be original to the painting and it is lovely. There is a paper tag on the back of the frame. This painting was part of the 1931 28th Annual Exhibition of the Cincinnati Museum Association. The painting is in excellent condition with no tears or repairs. The colors are bold and appealing. I do not have a BUY IT NOW price for the painting. Starting with a low opening bid and the auction will run its course. Shipping will be FED EX ground unless other arrangements are made. The painting will be padded and boxed with extreme care to prevent damage. The shipping costs include full purchase price insurance. No international shipping on this item.
