The box is velvet lined, and large measuring 15.5" x 10" x 6.75" high. It features various wood veneers including heavily burled wood, fruitwood, and kingwood. The inlay is mother-of-pearl and strips of ebony. Overall, the box weighs about 6 lbs., and is of the finest quality.The casket is in excellent condition, free of chips, cracks, scratches or losses. The veneers and inlays are complete, and free of flaws. The only concern is that the upper brass portion of the lock has been removed, and restored to hide that it was there.
