Large 19thC Masons Ironstone Hydra Jug C1815-30 Japan Pagoda Pat Description This super large Masons Ironstone Hydra Jug has the black printed Masons mark on the base that dates it to around 1815-30. The Jug has a moulded Green handle in the form of a Serpent, it is decorated in a Japan style pattern of Pagodas, Peonies and pierced Rocks in Imari colours of Iron Red and Cobalt Blue. The Jug is in good condition, no chips,cracks or restoration, there is some rubbing to the Green paint on the handle. A really nice early example. The Jug is quite heavy, please check postage cost if bidding from overseas.
