Large Antique American Pickle Jar, probably W.K. Lewis & Bros/93/Broad St./Boston/Mass., 1856-70 Though lacking the original paper label the bottle is identifiable due to other known labeled examples. Please see: McKearin & Wilson, American Bottles & Flasks and Their Ancestry, Page 272 & 273, no. 10. Aqua, Gothic, hexagonal body w/curved shoulder and short wide cylindrical neck w/applied lip and smooth concave disk base. Height 13 1/8 inches, Diameter of base 4 7/8 inches. Capacity 3 quarts, 7 ounces Very Fine condition with no damage or interior cloudiness, though some small bubbles and stones in the glass, minimal surface wear and obvious surface scratches to base commensurate with age.
