This is a large antique Holy Bible that was acquired at an estate sale. Measures 11 1/2" long, 8 1/2" wide and is 3 1/2" thick. I am not sure when this dates back to but there is a name and date penned in quilt pen on the back that is dated 1858. Both the front and back hard covers are detached from the book. The first two pages are also detached (the illustration page showing in photo 6 and the first page of Genesis (Book of Moses). I am not seeing any pages either in the front or back that tell who the manufacture was or the date of publishing so I assume that this is a missing page. There may also be a page or so missing from the back index - hard to tell... Aside from the above-mentioned, the vast majority of the book pages are all intact and without pencil/ink marks and can easily be turned. Illustrations throughout. Some corner folding present in some of the pages (seen in the last photo). Weight of book is over 7 lbs.
