This is for a rare signed G. Gabrielle 18K solid yellow gold cameo brooch. The agate cameo is expertly carved by master sculptor, G. Gabrielle. It is surrounded in solid 18K yellow gold. There is a partial hallmark on the pin, but I cannot read it. It has been professionally tested and confirmed solid 18K yellow gold. It is of a prestigious woman, but the subject is not identified. It is signed G. Gabrielli at the right area right above her back. See last two pictures. The condition is very good. There is a small crack or natural imperfection right above here head in the left side. It goes pretty much unseen unless held up to direct light. The imperfection cannot be felt with a finger nail. No chips or notable wear. The brooch itself measures about 1 3/4 inches wide without the pointed end of the back pin. It is about 2 1/4 inches in length. The only examples I could find was a group of three that sold at Sotheby's in 2015 for $6,760 US or about $2,250 each. The three subjects were identified, but were half the size of this one.
