Beautiful Early Antique VictorianBrass School Bell DESCRIPTION: This is a really nice early item. Made of brass with a particularly nicely turned wooden handle. It is the kind of bell that a teacher would use to call the children in from recess, etc. Very often associated with and pictured with an early 1-room school with different grades in the same room. Made of heavy brass with a heavy iron cast clapper. Has a very pleasing sound!!! This one measures 7" high x 4" diameter at the base. It is complete with the clapper, in excellent condition, and has an beautiful aged patina overall, both the brass and the wood handle. Great for decoration or use.
