LARGE ANTIQUE VICTORIAN CUT GLASS HM SILVER SCENT PERFUME BOTTLE ~ B'ham 1896 Description This is an excellent late Victorian Cut-Glass Perfume Bottle, with a superb repousse silver hinged lid and silver top collar, both hallmarked for Birmingham 1896 It is a larger size than the usual globular Dressing Table bottle, measuring 5" tall and 3.75" wide. The hinged lid has very finely chased silver scrolled decoration. Excellent cut glass to the main body with a detailed hob-nail style cut design; fluted cut glass to the shoulder; there is a star cut to the base; unusually, the tapered stopper has a multi-faceted cut design to the knop ~ a nice quality touch. In excellent condition: No damages or chips to the glass; excellent tight fit to the tapered glass stopper; the lid hinge works perfectly and there is also a good tight fit to the lid when shut. Really superb example for that Period Dressing Table. Any questions, please ask. Thanks for looking. Payment Payment by Cheque, Postal Order, Bank Transfer or Paypal all accepted.
