Large Blue John Specimen from Derbyshire This is a superb example of the stunning Blue John Fluorite from Derbyshire, from old stock. The piece shows the classic blue-purple and yellow banding and individual Fluorite crystals, typical of the formations found in this region. The crystals on the top are up to 1cm and a deep purple colour, and there is a further covering of smaller drusy crystals on the side. The piece weighs approx 242g/8.5oz and measures approx 7cm x 5.5cm x 5cm. It is a spectacular piece which would appeal equally to rock collectors or to display in the home.
