metalware cast iron LARGE CAST IRON JACK JAX DOORSTOP BOOKEND This auction is for a , GEORGE NELSON DESIGN, CAST IRON JACK JAX. This solid piece can be used as a door stop, a paper weight, or even a book end. It is quite large, and it measures 6.5 INCHES ACROSS (BALL TO BALL), & 5.5 INCHES ACROSS (POINT TO POINT). It is BLACK in color. The jack weighs in at 2 POUNDS, I will ship this item out, via the USPS, and a tracking number is included. Design is the product of the Atomic Age and looks very much like the Soviet Sputnik spacecraft. Vintage, circa 1960s, Mid-Century Modern / Eames Era / Pop Art oversized Jax (or Jacks) would make a great bookend / door stop / sculpture,etc. often attributed to George Nelson, for Howard Miller Company. But some have attributed them to Bill Curry, for Design Line. cast iron. black. 6 1/2" x 6 1/2" x 5 1/2". WEIGHT:2 pounds. LOW LOW NO RESERVE PRICE!!!!
