Description - This is a 148 size Holborn shape bowl. Holborn bowls were produced in three sizes - 147, 148 & 149. The backstamp dates to 1937 - 1952. The number 148 is incised to the base. The pattern appears three times to the outside of the bowl with the flowers nicely painted and the colours remaining crisp and bright. To the inside of the bowl the green paint is thicker at the rim and fades towards the bottom, as it was originally painted. A very attractive bowl. Condition - The overall condition really is excellent with no chips, cracks, crazing or restoration and rings clearly when tapped. There is some very minimal paint loss but nothing more than a few spots here and there. There is some brown spotting to the rim that I have shown in the photographs. It really does not detract from what is a clean and fresh piece. Dimensions - 22cm diameter, 9cm high. Postage - Royal Mail Special Delivery. Item will be extremely well packaged and insured.
