This listing is for a collection of World War 2 occupation notes from the Pacific theater. The first six photos are Japanse notes used in the Philippines. The fractional notes are in excellent condition. The one peso is lightly circulated. The 5 peso is well circulated and but intact. One corner has a fold as you can see in the photos. The next two photos are 2 and 5 peso Victory notes from when the US retook the Philippines. They are circulated but intact. A little bit about that later. The next two photos are Japanese notes used in the Netherlands East Indies aduring occupation. They are very lightly circulated. The final photos are US notes used while occupying Japan. They are in excellent condition. I knew the guy who brought these home. The Victory notes were used by servicemen and he had these in his wallet. The Japanese occupation notes were collected by many servicemen. My friend told me there were stacks and stacks of these things everywhere they went. He served aboard the USS Louisville and he gave me all his cool old notes and coins before he passed. That ship really got around! These are some of my dupes. Shipping is free!!!
