I really love this platter Designed by Frank Thrower for Dartington Crystal, it has a fabulous slab like design where the smooth glassy surface rolls around the lip, all chunky and organic feeling The beautiful daisy you see is impressed on the underside so does not interfere with the serving of the cheese or possibly a cake, sliding off the polished top as you would want it to I believe it dates from the late 1970s but it really is a timeless classic This particular platter is the large size measuring 10.5" (26.7cm) in diameter No scratches from wear and no damage but I can see a hair impression across the petals dating from the production process Would be a lovely Christmas gift wrapped with a large round of Camembert cheese Happy to send overseas but please get in touch to confirm destination specific postal quotation
