A large attractive early Victorian triple compartment rosewood tea caddy, the lid & front inlaid with fretted mother o' pearl spandrels connected by pewter stringing, and the lid inlaid with a flush brass campaign handle. The interior containing a pair of detachable rosewood and mahogany canisters with hinged lids and the original cut glass sugar / mixing bowl, unfortunately cracked but sound. The lock is in good working order. Condition: The caddy itself is in excellent condition for its age with no missing or damaged bits. As mentioned earlier, the mixing bowl is cracked.Dimensions: 12" x 6" x 6" (31 x 15 x 15 centimetres) . Weight (unpacked) 2.6 kilos.
