The bead is in excellent condition ( very lightly chipped at the ends , see photos ) . The size of the bead is 47 X 14 mm . Venetian millefiori mosaic glass trade beads used in the African trade early 1900's.The coin shown in the photo is approximately 20 mm in diameter that is similar to the size of 1 USA cent or 10 Euro cent or 1 UK Penny.
