Description Highly decorative large mid-century English blanc de chine relief decorated jug or pitcher in the Strawberry and Vine pattern by Wedgwood. The jug is creamy white with raised fruit that are berries, but appear to be more similar to grapes on leafy vines. The handle is high, arched, and dramatic. The beautiful detailing in the design and the monchromatic finish make this pitcher classically elegant, understated, and easy to blend with any decor. It holds approximately 64 ounces and would be perfect to use as a wine decanter at a family or friends gathering. Dimensions 8 3/4" tall to the top of the handle and 7 1/4" tall to the spout; 4 1/2" to 4 3/4" in diameter at the top; and 4" diameter at the base Identification The bottom is marked underglaze with 'Wedgwood of Etruria & Barlaston' and 'Made in England'. Condition Overall, the jug is in good estate condition. There are no chips, cracks, or repair. The glaze is high; however, there may be age related crazing, although it is hard to detect on this pattern or in the interior. Additionally there may be expected manufacturing defects. I no longer ship USPS First Class, since this method is not currently trackable.
