Peter McDougall . Museum piece . Large millefiori closepack with many complex canes on a lavender and cornflower blue ground. Take a look at the complexity and perfection of these very large canes and consider that some of the canes have more than thirty elements and that each element comprises several elements of its own – and each part is individually made from molten glass. This type of perfection and detail are the hallmark of this artist. Bright colors with nice optics. “PCMD” cane in close pack. Peter McDougall (Scotland): Peter McDougall is a master the Scottish glass-making tradition with a direct lineage of glass-making reaching back to Salvador Ysart. His history includes employment with Strathearn and Perthshire, before launching his own business. His perfectionist’s complex canes are simply amazing.
