Ebay says not to ramble, but today I am going to ignore that advise and give you all the details I can about this spectacular hanging Slag Glass lamp. Wonderful Greens, carmels and whites this lamp has 8 seperate piece of slag glass on top, 8 seperate curved pieces of slag glass in the middle to base and 8 seperate piece of RED accent Slag Glass. Starting at the top. The 8 Smaller pieces of Green/Carmel/White slag glass piece measure 2 and 1/2" by 2 and 1/2" at widest points. Are securely positioned between the metal work with no chips or cracks to any of the pieces. The chain that comes up from the hook measures from hook to the part that goes in to the ceiling plate, approximately 56 and 1/2 inches. The ceiling plate is a brushed swirl brass color with no scratches and all necessary wires appear to be present, I have no way to test it. The lighting fixture inside is two socket with pull chains and appears to be in working order. I could not find any maker marks on it. The Eight Middle to base Green/Carmel/White slag glass is curved and in wonderful condition except for one hairline crack that I didnt even see till it really looked it over see photo Number 11. very difficult to see. All the rest of the Pieces are in perfect shape with no nicks or chips or cracks that I could find. All eight panels are securely placed. Beautiful warm colors. EACH of the 8 pieces of slag glass measure 14 inches from top to bottom (including the curve) and 8 inches across widest point. At the base of the middle panels is beautiful Filagree metal work and all are in tact with NO pieces missing. At the base there are eight accent pieces in ruby red which measure 1 and 1/2 inches by 2 and 1/4 inches at widest point. One of the ruby red slag glass pieces has 3 little hairline cracks see photo number ten, I used a flash so you could really see it but it isnt very visiable without flash and zoom. One of the other panels or red has such a small hairline I could not get a photo of it. The rest are in perfect shape and all secure. See below shipping for additional dimensions. Heavy it weighs approx 17 pounds. I am going to ship it with the shipping calculator but until I get it all wrapped for proper shipping I can only give you an estimate of what the cost to ship will be. Once the auction has ended, if you would give me your address and give me a chance to wrap and weigh it I will give you an exact shipping cost to your zip code. Sorry but thats the best way I can figure to do it so you dont pay too much and I dont have to pay for your shipping. I have added weight for box, shipping material and added inches so that the lamp is properly wrapped and can travel safely. The shipping calculator is not working with my numbers but from it looks like as 38 by 38 by 24 inches for the box and appox weight of 23 pounds parcel post would be $28.13 from New York to LA please remember this is just to give you an idea, shipping will be calculated after packed to your exact zip. Insurance for anything over $75.00 is the responsibility of the new owner and will be required. Well worth the few dollars. Very Large (see photo number two for reference to a ruler) From point to point on the inside it measures 21 and 1/2 inches across. When it is sitting on the table it measures just over 12 inches from table top to top of top slag glass panels. Across the top of the lamp measures appox 9 and 1/4 inches.
