JOHN DEACONS "CONCENTRIC JD THISTLE CANE MILLEFIORI" PAPERWEIGHT TURQUOISE BASE Perthshire glass artist John Deacons centre Thistle Cane "concentric millefiori paperweight" Fantastic Assorted Millefiori canes Set On A GORGEOUS Torquoise Ground! smooth pontil Measures Approximately 3" Diameter "Handmade In Scotland By John Deacons" Sticker this is like a paperweight within a paperweight encased in a bullicante case quite stunning This is a superb lampwork paperweight by 'John Deacons' of Crieff in the Strathearn Valley of Perthshire, he started his career in paperweights at Strathearn Glass. He also worked for Perthshire paperweights until 1978. After a short period, trading as 'J' Glass, in 1983 Deacons began his second company, which is where he is still in production in Crieff along with his son.
