This is a large unclassified NWA Stony meteorite from the Sahara desert. This is a great opportunity to own a large meteorite at a reasonable price. This meteorite is part of a larger meteor that struck the ground and broke upon impact. You can tell how this specimen fit into the larger puzzle, and which portion made up the outer surface of the original mass from the section of fusion crust (blackened, charred, melted stone--the 3rd photo is a closeup of the fusion crust) and the rounded, smoother surface. This visitor from space is 4.9 inches long by 2.7 inches by 2.6 inches. It weighs 1 pound 1.3 ounces, or 490 grams. Insurance is included in the Packaging & Handling.
