This is a painted tintype portrait that has been matted and framed. The frame is old but I do not know if it is original. The cardboard on the back is certainly a replacement/addition. The gold-trimmed, matted portrait is approx 9" x 11" with the frame adding an additional 3" all the way around for a total of approx 15" x 17". Wood appears to be oak and is in nice condition and has nice detail. Photo is well executed with careful tinting applied afterward. I have owned this for over 15 years but do not know more than what it says on the back (see photos). Please do not bid if you are unable to pay by paypal right away. I will carefully wrap and ship USPS priority.
