This vintage soup or ladle is very large at 11 inches measured with the bowl sitting on the table. The only mark is shown on the smaller serving spoon and tells nothing of the silver content so I am selling this pair as plated. The impressed mark w I would expect to find a makers mark reads F. A. B. & Co. The inscription on the top of both pieces is the name Weed. The design is early Scandinavian, maybe 19th century American. Those are my best guesses. Any information would be gladly accepted and added to this listing. The small spoon is 8 inches long and shaped like a large deep cream soup spoon for Jethro Bodine. The ladle is unusual in that the bowl is longer than usually seen on common ladles, not quite a kovsh but on that order. All questions gladly answered as soon as possible.
