LARGE ROYAL DOULTON CHARACTER JUG. D6598 - MAD HATTER. Item for sale is a large size character jug by Royal Doulton depicting the Mad Hatter from Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland stories. Designed by Max Henk in 1964, and issued between 1965 and 1983. This one has just the D number and name underneath and a series of registration marks so an earlier version from before 1973. Stands 7.5" (18.9cm) high and weighs 774 gms before packaging added. The Boring bit ~General Information: PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR POSTAGE OPTIONS. 1. I do not claim to be an expert but will try to answer any queries you have regarding any of my items. Information above is from my own observations and research on the internet, or from books. 2. All items are sold as seen but I do offer a full refunded provided I am contacted within seven days of receipt of the item and it is for a genuine reason. If the item is damaged, it will be in the description. 3. Returned items will be at the buyer’s expense unless agreed otherwise. 4. For UK buyers payment methods accepted are via Paypal or personal cheque, or cash on collection. I may ask for cheque or bank transfer in the exception of an expensive item. 5. For all Overseas buyers payment must be made via Paypal only . 6. Payment must be received within 7 days of the close of the auction 7. Items will be shipped within three or four days of payment being received, unless payment is made via cheque when items will be shipped upon cleared funds. 8. P&P, includes a small charge for the cost of the packaging if required. I usually add £1 to £1.50p to the piece to cover for cost of bubble wrap, chippings and the box (cost 75p each). If you feel I’m charging too much please don’t bother trading with me. Multiple purchases will nearly always be given a discount on P&P. Some larger items (combined weight of over 2kg) won’t be given discounts as they cost more to post in one large box than separate packages (i.e. 2 or more Character Jugs). 9. If you do not want to leave feedback – then please don’t bother trading with me please. I will only leave feedback once the item arrives and you are satisfied with it. APOLOGIES IN ADVANCE IF THE FOLLOWING SEEMS A LITTLE HARSH, BUT OWING TO EBAY’S POLICY ON LOST ITEMS, THE FOLLOWING WILL APPLY TO ALL MY ITEMS AS I DO NOT INTEND FALLING FOUL OF THEM AGAIN. UK P&P charges quoted are for the cheapest possible postage (i.e. Second class or standard parcels). However, please note that if you choose this option and an item goes missing in the post, whilst I am happy to obtain a refund on costs and postage from the post office for you, I will not refund the buyer until I have been recompensed by the post office. This can take up to 50 days (19 days to register a package as missing, and 31 days to process the claim). If you opt for Special Delivery ‘Next Day’ which allows all items to be tracked but is quite expensive, both you as a buyer, and myself as a seller are protected by e-bay’s policies.
