LARGE SCOTTISH MADE SHIPS PORT COPPER LAMP & BURNER Another quality item searched for with care by Jims Things A ships copper lamp that is 16 inches tall and is marked with the maker and retailers names which can be seen in the photographs. The lamp has a small chip to the ribbing on the heavy front glass as seen in the first photograph and is missing the red coloured shade that would have been behind the front glass inside the lamp, although a red bulb would now produce the required colour if needed.The back of the lamp has a sliding panel to allow access to the double burner which is stamped with 'Harvies Patent' and which is withdrawn from the back on sliding rails.There is some very slight rippling to the surface of the sloping front, on one side and the lamp has signs of use although there are no dents or damage other than that already mentioned.The lamp and its burner weigh over 13 lbs and the smoke cover has c.1902 stamped onto the lock bracket which may indicate the date of the lamps manufacture.
