LARGE VICTORIAN MARBLE TOP BUREAU HERTER BROTHERS LOW RESERVE !! Great piece of Antique Furniture with a great history. The bureau came out of the Colgate(Toothpaste and University) family Estate in Sharon, Connecticut. Made by Herter Brothers. The size is 54 inches length, 24 inches depth and 32 inches height. The wood is birdseye maple. The top drawer has inlaid and a carving in the center, the corners also has same inlaid. Original Herter Brothers handles and locks. See photos. The wood needs a good polishing and the marble(heavy) seems to be in good condition. See photos. Please keep in mind that I sell estate items, that means that they are used in some fashion and being sold as-is. Any known or obvious defect, scratches or problems will be described, if not obvious from the photos. I will endeavor to describe the overall condition of the item but please be aware that normal wear and tear for the estate and antique pieces is to be expected.
