VINTAGE C APODIMONTE V ASE c.1960's Provenance: This is one of several amazing pieces we will be listing this week from a distinguished Italian family that has collected Capodimonte ceramics for over 50 yrs. These family heirlooms are exquisite and unique. Description: This is a large porcelain vase with a vividly colorful, raised scene of semi-nude women frolicking with soldiers in the countryside. The three dimensional quality of the figures seem to jump out of the pottery with fervor and passion. Behind them are luxurious Italian castles, surrounded by mountains, water and gardens. Elaborately detailed all the way around. Gilded handles and rims top to bottom. measures 23" tall x 12" wide. Classic Capodimonte styling with crown emblem stamped on underside.
